The ‘Noks may live by a “no rules” motto, but our Custom Contest has a few to remember.

Submission Guidelines

There are three categories: Individual Figure (any scale), Vehicle/Diorama (any scale) and Kids Creation (ages 14 and under). Entries will be accepted as late as 2pm, Saturday, November 4th — but we recommend submitting as early as possible because fan voting will begin when the show floor opens.

Contest Rules

1. Customs must have been made or finished during 2023.

2. Submissions must have been made by the person entering the competition.

3. Entries must feature a character, vehicle or scene from G.I. Joe — or be an original creation constructed from at least 50% G.I. Joe parts.

4. Maximum of 5 entries per person.

5. Entry forms must be filled out completely and placed with your submission in the customs area.

6. Entrants must be present for the results announcement (at approx. 2:30pm) to be eligible to win.

Voting Info

Every attendee of Assembly Required '23 will be given voting slips for both the Individual Figure and Vehicle/Diorama categories. All Kids Creation entrants will receive recognition for participating.

Prizes

Top vote getters in the Individual Figure and Vehicle/Diorama categories will win a trophy and prize package.  In addition, a panel of Judges will choose an additional Judge’s Choice overall winner from across all categories to receive a special award.

Non-Competing Entries

If you have a custom you would like to share that was already entered in a previous year’s contest or a creation you want to show without submitting for competition, we are pleased to provide a separate area for displaying those. Please contact Dak (dak@codenameiowa.com) prior to the show if your custom creation requires extra space considerations.
